I crocheted them as a circle, with single crochet all along, I have to admit I prefer the look of it if done around than in rows. I only did one row of double crochet to weave in the cords. Then I crocheted together the bottoms, added some crocheted flowers that I am really enjoying doing right now, and the light blue one also has a picot edging. I added lining and a zip.
