New pattern for sale

I have finally finished the piece I was sewing for my boss. He came up with the idea of using this saying in a sampler, so I made the design and stitched it for him. He will have it framed and put it up in his office.

However the pattern copyright is mine, so now it is up for sale.

Size: 353 x 119 (ca 64 x 21cm or 25.5" x 8.5")

It costs 90 SEK / 14$ / 10,5 € / 9£.

Make sure you send me your e-mail address so I can send you the pdf file.

This is what it looks. I used 28 count white Lugana and 4 skeins of DMC 796.

(Sorry for the bad photo, I had to take it at night so I could hand it over the next morning. I will post a better one when it is framed.)

My "Save the world" piece and some bags

Hello, dear friends,

Remember, I told you how I entered an embroidery competition? The topic was how we can save the world with embroidery.
I wasn´t sure if I could post pictures of the work since they said it should be unpublished, so I rather played safe and waited.
Well, the results are on the website now, and I am not among the winners, but I have to say I don´t feel ashamed: those are all so fantastic pieces of art that I had absolutely no chance. It is a different dimension.
If you want to look at them, here.

But now, finally, I can show you my work. Here it is, and I am really proud of it. Just love how it turned out.

The text at the bottom is in Swedish and this is what it says:

Under this walnut shell there is a butterfly hiding from the rain - according to my 5-year-old friend, Lizi. This is to honour all that and all those who have to hide from the suffering of the world.

I don´t know yet what I will do with it. I don´t really have place for it at home, and I would be so happy if I could hang it somewhere where others can see it and get the message.

I have also been working on my commission. Here is the latest picture, although since I took it, I have done a lot, it is almost ready.

I have also been sewing a lot.

I made some teddy bears for the charity I sometimes help out. I made a bag for my daughter, and then a few more that I will try and sell in my webshop. Well, sounds a bit pretentious to call it a webshop, but perhaps I will be able to sell something this time :D Want to have a peek?

The teddy bears above, and my daughter´s bag bellow. She loved it.

And these are the ones I made for my shop:

I will soon be back with some more pictures, and a cross stitch pattern or two. Watch this place :)

Happy stitching.

Subversive sampler - free pattern

Hello :)

I have been in a bit of a sewing and stitching frenzy lately. Want to use all the time before school starts next week. I finished the competition piece, but I am not sure if I can post a photo of it now or not. I need to ask. I think it turned out really nice.

Now I am working on an order. It goes well but my neck is getting a bit tired. Sewing on the machine for a break does not help either. Will take some photos next time I take it out of the frame.

I made another free pattern, this time a subversive sampler. I hope you will find it funny, just as I do. ;)

Happy stitching, friends.

New pattern: Red Biscornu

Hello, everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and have lots of stitching, sewing, knitting etc. done.

I have another small pattern for you today: a biscornu. It is based on some folk motifs, as so often, and I think the wavy line all around will look lovely agains the zig-zaggy edges of the biscornu.

I hope you like it. Click on the picture, and download the pattern in a pdf.

Here are some pictures of the fabric and magazines I bought during my trip.

We had a lovely time, by the way. We took the car, and drove all the way down to the Mediterranean in Slovenia, spent a few days there, then quite a long time in Hungary, visiting relatives and friends, visiting lovely places. All in all we travelled through 13 countries :) It was really good, but at the end, after four weeks, it was also very good to come home. :)
Here are some pictures:

Tatra mountains in Poland

Lake Balaton in Hungary

The Mediterranean in Trieste, Italy

Füzér castle ruins in Hungary

I have done some stitching, but not too much during the trip, however, since we came home, I have almost finished my embroidery competition piece. I am not sure if I can show it here, I should ask first. I have to send in the pictures in a few days now.

Will be back with some updates on my work soon.

Until then, enjoy stitching the biscornu, and send me pictures if you make it. :)

Peacocks and a basket of flowers - Swedish pattern

Happy midsummer! Trevlig midsommar!

We had a fantastic midsummer celebration today. Love this Swedish custom.
So that all my readers can also celebrate with us, I have created a little pattern with old Swedish motifs: peacocks and a basket of flowers.

I am off to Hungary tomorrow, so if you don't see me for a while, that's the reason. But perhaps I can check in once in a while. Have a lovely summer, everyone.

New finishes and a wip

Here are the pictures I promised: I have finished stitching the runner I received from my boyfriend's mum who couldn't finish it because of her bad eyesight.

Sorry for the photos, they are not very clear.

I stitched this little fairy for a charity quilt. There is one more I need to do before I can send them.

And here is one of my wips. I have entered an embroidery competition. The topic is: how we can save the world with the help of embroidery. They have come up with some key-words, such as war, environment, solidarity, nuclear weapons etc.
I have made a pattern, or actually, I am still working on it but I have enough ready so I could start it. I am not going to show you the pattern but you can see photos of my work, so it won't be difficult to guess. :) It is an almost traditional sampler but with some modern elements.
I am using a fabric I bought in a second-hand shop, I think it is linen, quite rough, and there are some threads pulled out, as a pattern, kind of. It breaks the regularity of the stitching (which is, since it is linen, not very regular anyway) and I like the effect. It seems to reinforce the message. :)

I have also finished sewing the blouse I mentioned. Here it is, with some details:

Teamwork - cross stitch freebie

Hi, everyone, do you still remember me?
Yes, it is me, Ági. :D You know, the crazy woman with all the different textile techniques...
Anyway, I am back a bit. I have been busy with sewing and cross stitch but haven't made photos yet... I know, I know, soon.

Bur I have made a cross stitch pattern for all of you to enjoy. It would make a lovely decoration in an office or a gift to a colleague or a boss.

I am actually stitching a much bigger and more ornate version of this for my boss, not as a gift though, he has ordered it. Not as my boss, just privately, he will pay me for it. :) My first commission :)

I have also started another piece, a sampler that I am making for an embroidery competition - I am not sure if I can post pictures about it, but will check.

So, here is the pattern, as usual, click on the picture to get the pdf.
